He wasn't - he misquoted me, something he does on a regular basis (he's even changed / edited my original text on occasion) is it any wonder I don't take him seriously? Also, like you, he's great at asking others to explain themselves but won't answer any direct questions. As you keep reminding me, all I'm doing is bumping my gums on a forum (as we all are) so why would anything I say about change of directors / shareholding be meaningful? So again, what substance are you offering to convince me that the current board are the correct board to take us forward? I've given you the reason I think they aren't. I have never have said that, in your parlance, "the current board are the correct board to take us forward". I am saying that they are the current board and that they are keeping the lights on. They are also putting in place new executive management. Remains to be seen if it gives positive results. As it stands, they are the only option. However, if you think there is a better realistic option at present. Tell us what it is and give some details. If all we want is for the board to be "keeping the lights on", then it's game over. They are "keeping the lights on" simply because of THEIR gross mismanagement (continued). We have record income, have been to CL group stages, have record season ticket money, have record merchandise income, EL Final run, £50M transfer income for Bassey, Patterson, Aribo, Sakala, Kamara yet are still millions in debt. With the above, if the current incumbents can still post losses year on year, they need replaced. How that is achieved is above mine (and your pay grade). We are mere fans (and shareholders) as you keep reminding us. However, the status quo simply can't continue ot it'll all end in tears. Believe it or not, part of their responsibilities are to ensure income equals or betters ongoing. Their doing a great job there eh. ..... Cammy mentioned Moyes - This is interesting. With West Ham being my English side I wanted him out after the UCL win. He is a very short term manager. In saying that his approach would be exactly what we need right now - we would play very deep at the back and he would shore up the defence big time - but going forward he just relies on the attackers doing their job. As for it being possible - I think he would jump at the chance as no other English Prem team will touch him unless its for the last 10 games of a season to stay up. Plus there would be no compensation package. If Clement was to leave then I think this is a real possibility. On Clement - He has clearly shown in spells he can be a good coach, from Oct 23 when he came in until that Ross County defeat he was making good progress. In Europe this season we have been a different side so it suggests to me he is suited to the continental game. But domestically Im not sure he has a clue what to do when he has to change a game - making subs is have the job but to change the system is part 2 and thats where he falls short. Ive doubts if he can improve on this, he comes across too nice. Wee blue devil mentioned the only hope is an Atlantic idea - if the big clubs in Europe get their Super league dream then Id say this would happen.
