we have more scorers when Dessers doesn't play

I am not an admirer of Dessers because he misses too many chances, and far too many good chances, but is is the above statement as much about  the way that PC sets up the team and the manner in which he instructs/demands them to play with Dessers up front, as Dessers' profligacy?

Over 8 games that looks to be the case. In most of those 8 games we played 2 strikers and changed our tactics.

Then in the last two (three if you count today), we've gone back to 1 striker and we've lost points.

If that was the case we'd have only one more player scoring, whereas we actually see 2-3 (?) more players scoring.

I don't think our tactics have changed - which I've mentioned before - we just finally had players more suited to that style.

So why have we stopped performing / winning? I still don't see a style. We still have full backs firing balls into the box where we only have 1 isolated striker.

We overplay far to often, we continually take the wrong option in the forward areas (see league cup final 4 v 1 as an example).

We are over-egging the slightest improvement we witnessed (lasted about 3 weeks).

Those 3 or 4 improved performances (which only included 2 wins - home to Killie and away to Ross County) appear to have been the exceptions to the rule.
