Also worth remembering that Celtic brought on Engles and Idah yesterday, who they purchased for a combined fee of £20 million in the summer. That's more than our entire starting 11 cost.

Lastly Jefte, Bajrami, Kelly, Cerny, Igamane and the much maligned Propper all started yesterday, all summer signings, plus Diomande. We criticise our recruitment, but it looked good yesterday. 

 

One swallow and all that, I accept there's little point in beating Celtic if we lose to St Mirren. Our away form isn't good and we're really struggling to breakdown very defensive sides, something we need to to do if we're to compete over a season. But i've seen enough to believe that Clement knows what he's doing and given time, and a bit of luck, he can create a squad that will put in a serious challenge, not just lift themselves for the glamorous matches. 

I said that last week, if we'd spent £20M on that pair, the press would have slaughtered us. Rodgers hasn't half bought some flops over the years, he's living off AP's signings at the moment.

 

He bailed out when it was clear Gerard was closing the gap on him, if we continue some of the good work we've seen recently, he'll bail again.

 

Interesting to see on the league table earlier that in last 6 games, our form is exactly the same as theirs.

Not been online for a few days for various reasons. 

 

But what a performance - thats the best Ive seen us in years. A monkey off the back aswell for Clement.

Are you sure about that? Don't think they lost in the league unlike us.

Whats worthy noting is we have been the better team in 3 of the last 4 OF games. The two cup finals were won on points but that was simply a 2nd round knock out on Thursday. 

 

Am I right in saying there will be 3000 away fans in the next game? That will help us.

Yes they did, on Thursday. And drew with dungdee utd. We drew with well and lost to St mirren.
