Tall oaks from little acorns grow we should have implemented a system back in 2012 to attempt to gather the best youngsters from twelve upwards a little production line of talent that can bring vast  rewards if done properly

Timewise, that was the opportunity to build a sustainable base.

However, the reality was that our club was being drained from the inside by those who couldn't give a dam beyond what they could stick in their pockets.

The time for this was 2012 but we decided to buy players like Kevin Kyle to get us back up through the leagues.

When we did get our B Team accepted into the Lowland League (not ideal, but they were playing competitive games), we then threw the toys out the pram when our suggestion of gaining access to the league structure via Lowland League was vetoed.

I watch the B Team semi regularly in the Lowland League and most players blew "hot and cold", which is to be expected for young players.

We need a re-think as to what is the best way to develop the B Team, as the current format isn't working.

Every shyster looking to make a quick buck bailed into the club and most walked away richer one way or another

As an aside, plenty fans beat the drum for young players getting the chance in the 1st team without actually being aware of how good / ready they are.

Whilst watching the B-Team in the Lowland Leagues, the crowds at their games were "sparce".

Maybe the club need to try incentives to get fans to attend B Team games on a regular basis.
