It's a bit of a stretch to suggest he's deflecting or throwing Jean-Luc under the bus.

There's nothing much there:

Interviewer: "Is there scope [for new signings]."

Clement: "That's something Patrick will address [...]. He wants to give that explanation: [...] the plan for January."

It could just be a simple as the financial side is the remit of Jean-Luc. It does appear like there was perhaps a plan for Jean-Luc to address the plan for January, but there's no details.

I don't think it is - most managers are asked and answer questions regarding transfer activity.

Clement's answer may have been "lost in translation ", but it was strange and certainly put pressure on Stewart to come out with answers / explanation - something he hasn't done as yet and probably won't.

Cagliari interested in our star striker Cyriel Dessers. Hope they have deep pockets.

£10M and not a penny less. Can't be selling the leagues 2024 top goalscorer on the cheap.

On a sidenote, we have but three first team strikers. I doubt we sell any of those unless someone else is almost a done deal.

PS Lovelace is 4th choice ... and maybe there's another Igamane in him that we will never be allowed to see ...
