Total overhaul needed at CB end of the season. Balogun is finished, can’t play 90 mins without getting injured. Propper not good enough. Kas injured and won’t play for us again in all likelihood. Soutter has 1 year left and should be sold on in the summer or allowed to run down his last year as a backup.

 

Id also take any modest sum possible for Sterling as he has proven to not be reliable fitness wise.

Agree re Propper and Balogun, I wouldn't be surprised if we sign Kasanwijro, and Souttar will get a contract extension (and the captaincy).

The CB overhaul should have been done last summer

Yeah, 4 centre halves would be better, but I guess that's all part of building a squad. I suppose with King, Sterling and Kasanwirjo all capable of playing in that position and, I assume, they hoped Nsiala might develop into an option, maybe they felt they had cover. They were wrong.

A total defensive overhaul isnt going to realistically happen, where are the funds coming from knowing a that clubs need at a minimum of 4 centre halfs. King is still young and not had a run so the jury is out if he is good enough. Nsiala hasnt kicked a ball. What happens if these two are duffers? 

I actually dont mind Propper, I think there is a half decent player in there and may settle better next season. He has done fine in Europe. 

Is Souttar not getting offered a new deal or something? going into the last year of his contract this should be sorted around now.

We also require a starting RB to replace Tav and left back cover for Jefte as Ridvan is unreliable. 

 

So 4 CB's, a RB and a LB. Plus a No9 and a No6.

I would hope King is not considered a CB.
