Sterling has shown that whilst he's a decent player, he can't be replied upon due to injuries. File alongside Ridvan. Bassey was powerful and quick but flawed as a CB. They're - not Katic - better than what we have now, but I don't think we've had a real quality CB since the Cuellar, Boumsong periods. Bassey was young, raw and a project that's why I would overlook the "flaws". He was one of the few "projects" we've handled / managed correctly. Boomsong wasn't around long enough to really judge, but again, we managed that situation perfectly. Cuellar was class, but he had David Weir as a partner. His performances on the run to Manchester were 1st class (as we're Goldson / Bassey on road to EL final).
