Think its becoming pretty obvious (if it wasn't already) we aren't going to be doing a quick turnaround with this rebuild, we will be gifting them a few titles while we balance the books over the next few years.

This squad isn't going to be competitive any time soon bar a miracle in recruitment in the summer or an unprecedented collapse other side of the city.

I think we can be competitive and should aim to be so. Its only our away form thats hampered this season domestically and playing at Hampden may have scuppered our CL ambitions.

However to be competitive we need to hit the ground running and to give us rhe best chance of that, we need continuity rather than trying to bed in 6 or 7 players.

I can't see them collapsing we we need to pray our recruitment is done as early as possible and 100% successful otherwise it'll be another long, hard season.

I think that’s a very optimistic way of looking at it Cammy.

Bottom line is we should always look to be competitive.

I don’t think we will be next season. Not unless we manage to shift Jefte and Igmane for megabucks.

It is, but the facts this season support it. Our home form has been fantastic thus far and if our away form was as good, we'd be top of the league.

Our inability to win away from home has killed us and in my opinion, that's down to the manager (tactics and team selections / set up).

I've continually said if we consistently beat the "rest" and win our home OF games, we'll be not far off winning the league. Its not rocket science and even with our limited budget, not unrealistic.

I think our "acceptance" of not being able to challenge has filtered through to the manager and players.

Correctly coached (which includes fitness) we should be able to challenge.

I’m always dubious of stats but I seen one that tells me Cerny played 22 goals 9 assists 2 now for a winger two assists is not acceptable personally I think the players decent but not worth the fee his club will be wanting and don’t forget the seller will have add ons on the contract

The selling club values the player according to his status (Bundesliga and international Player), the length of his contract, and what they paid for him. The more he becomes important for Rangers, the more Wolfsburg see their valuation as correct. His price will be accepted by others, if Rangers don't want him. Of course, the prices are still quite mad.

That's in the league.

Overall he's played 36, scored 13 ans has 7 assists. That's decent numbers in my book.

He isn't worth the money being asked but that's true right across football at the moment.

Igamane in particular looks to be a player that could go for decent money, but how much would it cost to replace him?

If we're going to put a dent in the league next season we'll need both of them.

We got good money for Aribo and Bassey , but were quite never the same after.

The correct answer to that is the same as we paid for him.

It all rests on our ability to recruit.

We never properly replaced Bassey and Aribo after we sold them. We mustn’t repeat that mistake when we sell players in the current team. And make no mistake finishing in top 8 of the Europa league will attract interest in some of our players

Sorry couldn't find a post about loaned players,  KD has just scored for Birmingham city and supposedly he is playing half decent along with Ben Davies.
