We should be doing everything to tie him down and allowing him a release clause. He has to remember he is coming back from a long term injury (which we nursed him back to fitness) and now he needs a run of first team football. If we sell him in the summer of 2026 or 27 for a really good price then so be it. However, his link up play isn't good enough for me, and he needs to use his size and strength a bit more (to be fair he's improved on that a little recently). With regards Lovelace isn't there some clause that if we don't offer him a contract he can leave without compensation, but if he is offered a contract, but turns it down, then we are due a fee when he signs for someone else?
