FFS. The guy has been in the door less than 2 days and will still be in the early stages of his information gathering, and has also been dealing with the SFA on the VAR issue and you expect him to have something of substance and can already form an opinion that he hasn't got what we need?

I think it is you that is OTT with your FFS 😂.

I made it clear that it was a first impression and was subject to change depending on actions.

IMO we need a hard nosed CEO who isn't scared to tell the support the truth about what will be a challenging remit in amongst hard financial realities.

No better time to begin in that way than the beginning. He has had more than enough time (prior to his appointment) to become fully aware of the details.

The support don't need the CEO to be going through the standard list of  platitudes, they get that from players.

Lets face it, wouldn't really matter what he said, certain folk would be greetin' about it.

I have frequently been told that I was  moaning too much over the past few years.

Most of which has been proven to be justified.

Being realistic though, he's likely to have had a number of interactions with senior people and board members as part of the interview process as well as post-announcement.  He likely already has a "warts-and-all" view of the club, but his job is to lead the club on a day-to-day basis, and that means bringing people with you as much as it does about making tough decisions.

If I was in his shoes, I imagine his message to the Board is that everyone gets a clean slate, and that he will evaluate all aspects of the club personally, or with perhaps a small team of people he trusts, with a view to presenting his findings to the Board along with recommendations for change.

Discretion in the early stages I would say, is the right approach.

The one thing that will destroy your credibility in such a role as he is in, is going off like a jack knifed milk float before you even have a full grasp of said role. Give him a chance buster.
