Really? Why do you say that?

Don't think he's been ongoing enough to judge.

He has modern ideas on the implementation of a recruitment model.

I still don't think he's ready to step up to DoF which is why I was annoyed with his promotion. We need another DoF.

He can and probably does have modern ideas on the implementation of a recruitment model, but will he be allowed to implement it?

100% agree, we do need a DoF but we need to ensure that these high profile, well paid individuals are given scope to run the club.

Oh, and we need a new manager most of all.

Our current circumstances are as close as you'll get to the failure of PLG and we require the same tonic.

The continued knocking of potential alternatives to a manager who has taken us backwards is staggering.

Instead of looking at possibilities to replace him, we're excusing his horrific record (not to mention playing style) and trying to convince ourselves that Clement will somehow magically turn this around with little or no evidence to stand behind.

I suppose the old saying is true, we get what we deserve.

I am no advocate for Philippe Clement.

But I fear that the last several years have seen, largely,  the ascendancy of hope over experience, and that, with -what?- two -notable exceptions, hasn't worked.

If the Club is to replace Clement, it cannot afford failure, and any successful candidate will require to tick a fairly hefty no. of boxes, whether or not he has a list of cheap centre backs in his hip pocket.

We can't afford failure full stop.

Clement is failing spectacularly (domestically) and we continue to make excuses for not replacing him. If we don't replace him, there is little / no evidence to suggest he is going to be a success.

Whilst we dither, we fall further behind, he buys more players not suited to Scottish football and we'll be having the same discussions forever and a day.

I think the problem is that we can't currently afford success.

So we accept and excuse failure? The board's wet dream.

Obviously not.

We try to build a sustainable football club (business ) as a base from which to move forward and compete with Celtic.

we can try to build a football club with a continuous player trading model which generates much needed additional income from players we can sell at profit to the bigger European leagues because the SPFL is basically an impoverished shitshow

Alternatively we can finance the club with directors loans & get ooc bosmans and pay  them exorbitant wages they’d never get elsewhere
