Moyes family are Rangers fans.

Genuinely can’t see Moyes becoming next Rangers manager if Clement gets the boot. No EPL manager would risk their reputation taking the Rangers job at the moment

Said the same, but if we are serious at running a football club that has even the slightest ambitions we must be asking him the question.

If he says no, then fine. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Of course, but there is levels of "gamble". Moyes knows the league, he knows what Rangers means and he is "old school" manager. He'd ruffle few feathers and that's what we need at the moment.

The question we have to ask ourselves is would he, or any other potential candidate be better than the current incumbent.

In my opinion Moyes would definitely be better than Clement as would Muscat.

But as I said above, we'll (board and fans) keep making excuses for not replacing Clement whilst we continue to regress. By not changing manager, we are left with nothing more than a tiny sliver of hope that things might improve under Clement whether that takes 1, 2 or 3 years.

Utterly depressing.

A bit of a stretch saying Moyes knows the league. He played in this league about 40 odd years ago. That's a lifetime away.

He will know the league, he's Scottish, he's faced Scottish clubs and he'll know people in the game.

Again, we are overthinking things. The only real question is would Moyes be a better Rangers manager than Clement.

I think the answer is a definite yes.

Moyes does not enjoy a reputation for scintillating, attacking, stylish play. He does, however, and by his own admission, make his teams hard to beat.

I cannot see Moyes doing this at Ibrox without recruitment -substantial recruitment- of, well, defenders, who can, well, defend, and defend well.

Actually, I can't see anybody making the current lot difficult to defeat.

And, of course, in a classic double dunt, we don't score many goals, and I don't see anyone easily turning our midfield and attack into a free scoring football machine, without recruitment -probably substantial- of players who, well, know where the bloody net is.

In any event, I am not sure Moyes is a starter. He might expect EPL level wages, and would, presumably, look for a decent budget for acquisitions.

Did I say that he actually played for Pederasts FC?

No you didn't but I hope no fan is narrow-minded enough to hold that against him or anybody else. I think we've moved on a lot from the Mo Johnston scarf-burning reactions. While we are on the subject, Russell Martin is available.

If we were serious at running a football club the board would be nowhere near the decision and a dinosaur like Moyes would never be an option.

Alas! we have no DoF yet.
