Criminal, the likes of Finlay Curtis should be knocking on the door, banging them in for the B team. If you cant get a look in while doing well at the level you are at, what is the point?

Looks like it’s the Same situation with what happened with Billie Gilmour is going to happen with Finlay Curtis I’m feeling and many other talented youngsters

I don't think there was much we could've done about Gilmour.  When EPL sides come calling, that's that.

Is Curtis better than Dessers or Igamane?

Sometimes its about rewarding the young player for playing well and developing at the level they are at rather than, 'are they better than' for me.

As Frankie says the boy is a goalscoring midfielder but I believe he can also play wide.

How disheartening must it be for this lad to see he's not getting a look in ahead of Kieran Dowell who is just pointless.

I think it's worth remembering the level these youths are playing at. They aren't even playing in a competitive league (another mistake taking them out of the Lowland League).

Curtis does appear to be a standout and as far as I'm aware he has been promoted through the levels and into the B-Team and looked promising anytime I've seen him (2 or 3 games).

Currently, its hardly a conducive atmosphere for promoting youngstera into our 1st team (not an excuse).

Agreed.  It's a bit of a standard demand when things aren't going well ('give the youths a chance') but bringing in a kid might not be the best idea when the support is so grumpy.

Didn’t really matter. Both were outstanding in different ways.

That's why you throw them in for the last 10 to 15 mins. We did it with McKinnon, Devine, Lovelace and others. Or Patterson. Other teams throw them in out of necessity and they rise to become a Barron or Gilmour. Unless we blood these people, we'll never know. But that's a Rangers' plight for many a year.

Yesterday, there was Hagi on the bench, Dowell too ... and both are ahead of Diomande in my "modern-day No.10 slot". You just hope he doesn't become another Aribo. We might just as well put Igamane or Danilo in his place, as they could have done all his pressing work too, and would have grabbed the ball and run for goal, not look for a deft short pass or the next player in an even better position than himself. Nothing against Diomande, but please not in that role. Almost more frustrating was Clement's lack of changes ... and, IMHO, inability to spot the dysfunctional No- 10 role. But he "lost" it for me a week or so ago, after he replied to the question about the need to change systems: !that needs time to implement!"
