Not sure how long Ridvan has been back in full training since he was injured in mid-August but he was pictured back training on the 1st October and still hasn't played any games in the 5 weeks since after almost 3 months out in total. Will he return to the squad tomorrow night?

When we talk about the club's struggles in recent times, the signing (and retention) of wholly unreliable players like Ridvan and Matondo (another who has been training for a few weeks but no sign of returning after over two months out) really is damning.

I'd bet Ridvan and Matondo are both in the higher wage bracket in the squad too.  Groan.

As for Thursday - we have a decent Euro away record under Clement but I'm expecting this to be a tough one and unfortunately, don't think we'll come away with any points.  I hate these 17:45 kick offs too.  A decent performance and a goal or two would be nice.

Matondo definitely is, from my understanding, he's one of the highest paid in the squad. I don't have a source, it just seems to be always mentioned that way

Was signed by Schalke 04 for 11 million so you'd imagine they were paying him a few bob.

Ridvan on the plane to Greece. Let's hope he doesn't try to shoot from just outside the box if selected as that will mean another three months out...

Should be on ice until 1st January so we can get maximum Turkish Lira
