Ive wanted Dessers to succeed but he fluffs too many chances. We mentioned Kent the other day, I think Im also realising how much quality Morelos actually had. But Id start Igamane tomorrow.

Lawrence would be more suited to a 4-1-4-1  rather than being the sole No.10 (In some games we should only need one holding midfielder) but he may be dropping down the pecking order. Id have no issues with Hagi starting. Just seems Clement is scared to change things but he must be realising what he is doing now isnt working. After the Ross County game last season he himself has lost confidence.

This is actually what we do.

Pass maps show that only one sits with the other pushing up a line to form the 4-1-4-1.

Going forward it can be, but with a NO.8. Then Lawrence is always further forward as a second striker. Sunday isnt the game to try it but say Lawrence and Hagi next to each other with two wide players would be interesting.

For EG:

Bajrami Lawrence Hagi Cerny

Raskin

The way we do it is frustrating and too deep and too pedestrian.

The main issue with Igamane seems to be his positioning.  Surely any half decent coach can sort that out pretty quickly?

Our main problems are creating and taking chances, so Clement will have to tweak the tactics or personnel or we're just going to be stuck with what we've got - a team that struggles to put home games to bed and regularly drops points on the road.

The main issue with Igamane is that he's getting a couple of minutes here and a couple of minutes there with no opportunity to get a run even though we have a striker that is, well, the less said the better

But Clement has tried Igamane but had to replace him at halftime (IIRC) in both games he's started. I'd start both Dessers and Igamane as neither can play as a loan striker.

If it wasn't for Lawrence's goals away to DUFC and at home to Hibs we'd be 4 points worse off, that would have us below Motherwell in the league.

Clement needs to try something new as neither of his fit strikers can play as a loan 9, so that points to a change of formation not just a change of personnel. However I have the feeling is too stubborn to change and we'll see the same players playing the same system on Sunday.

As I said above, it just shows how poor out squad is

4-4-2 or 3-5-2 for me. As has been said before, our strikers don't function in the single striker mode so at least try 2 up top and go for it. And that's 2 strikers. Not one striker and someone else in the hole as a supporting number 10. We need to adopt other options as it clear to see that what we are doing now is not working.

Aye, it certainly looks that way.  It's hard to understand why Clement and a lot of other modern managers are so unable or unwilling to adapt.

Surely a winning side and keeping your job make it worth admitting you were wrong!?

From the games I have seen, most Scottish teams defend deep and with a lot of players. Playing so few attackers again and again makes no sense. Why your line-up has not been used is really a mystery. Rangers' attackers are easily crowded out and there are always defenders blocking shots from the outside. Very strange not to try an alternative.

One of the things I liked about Advocaat was the way he was okay about changing tactics or personnel within minutes of a match starting.  That's the way it shoud be.

Don't persist with something that isn't working, especially if it hasn't worked for months.
