[FT] Aberdeen 2 - 1 Rangers (Bajrami 63)

Its also pretty damming on our recruitment again for this season.

Propper isnt good enough and was our big CB buy.

Diomande looks ok at times but cant last 90 mins and drifts out of games.

Cortes has picked up where Roofe left off.

A waste of £10 million so far.

You can add Igamane at £1.7M to that list as well. Before anyone jumps in, not an attack on Igamane but the signing. When it was obvious we needed a striker to replace / supplement Dessers, we spent the best part of £2M on a player who is still miles away from being a 1st team regular.

The board continually make the wrong appointments whether it be at "executive" level, managerial and recruitment. Or as it currently stands, leave these crucial positions unfilled.

As a club, our current situation isn't normal and the what may be considered as normal reactions to on the pitch stuff, won't do us much good just now and would very probably make things worse in the medium term.

Our support is very loyal. In the last few years, it has been amazing. However, the self entitled expectation (currently unrealistic) that we have to win everything and the refusal to see the bigger picture at the club, means as well as being the life blood, we are on occasion, our own worst enemies.

FFS, it was only 2 days ago when the numbers were published.

A Lot will depend on the T&C of Clement's contract. Good luck trying to get a decent manager in, as things stand.

Could be a new approach to lowering the wage bill. Just get rid of everyone and don't replace them.

But at least we have a united fan representation, maybe they could take over.

So this is now the Rangers standards? 4 titles in 18 years and regressing at an alarming rate?

I don't think Rangers fans have unrealistic expectations, t self entitlement, I think the majority just want to see progression, an ability to challenge, young fresh players, a playing style we can get behind, a forward thinking board and exec who'll use the limited resources better, encourage and develop new investment etc.

At the moment we have nothing.  That's not self entitlement and expecting a expensive assemble team to be closer to the top of the table than to the bottom 6 isn't really unrealistic expectations.

At the moment we have nothing in large part down to our self entitlement.

Decades of overspend trying to feed it.

It shouldn't stop us challenging- we play in a backwater league, it doesn't require £20M to be sitting in 3rd 9 points adrift. You can manage to be 9 points clear of us by signing players from the likes of Livingston, coaching them well, getting a style of play that suits your players and getting them to buy into t.

But your tight, stick with the current exec/leaders and the current manager and I'm sure we'll mount a credible challenge in the next decade or so.

Apologies if that's self entitlement or unrealistic expectations.

I hope whoever is the manager that we don't hear talk of transfer windows and new signings and war chests or anything else of that kind. I would much rather have a manager/coach who can get the best out of the players at his disposal, make them better players, create a better team. Building a Scottish or British team without any Albanians or Croatioans, or Slovenians or whatever, and getting the best out of them, is a much more appealing prospect than relying on also rans from the four corners of the globe.
