Again I'm the opposite. The only game that comes close to Leipzig for me is winning the league in 99,

I was referring to the Scottish Cup final (Wallace, 1-0).  Get your point re: their shame game (I couldn't get a ticket).

And you lecture certain posters about the need to stay on topic.

Oh and by the way, the club is an omnishambolic mess 😄

I'm not sure a player when going for a 50/50 ball, or a foot race with an opponent is ever really thinking about how much cash he'll get. I think if there's a crackling atmosphere, and fans roaring him on, then there may be an extra motivation, compared to playing in a flat atmosphere.

Maybe you are right, footballers are in no way motivated by money. However the evidence I have seen over the years suggests otherwise.

@Rousseaupointed out a few days ago that the problems we face domestically (mainly due to the low block) don't occur in Europe.  I agree with this, to an extent.  However, our results against the scum somewhat invalidate it.

Unless we compare them to a Lyon, where they're just ... better ...

In the case of Lyon I think we started the game with more intensity, fight, urgency than we showed at any point V Killie or St Mirren. Even how we came back after they scored an early goal.

Not sure a low block can affect how our players approach games.

It's easy to show urgency when there is space to run into.

Lyon weren't that great, IMO, they just had better quality to take advantage. (xG on the night was 2.06 to their 2.24.)
