I think Barron looks good as the further forward of the double pivot; he's usually the deeper, but I like his energy here.

The referee seems to be quite trigger happy and yet inexplicably misses clear fouls.

Good first half there! 2 good goals none conceded. At first I thought their goal should have stood, but you see in the replay their player put his left foot in front of Butland's leg where he then tripped. Huge blunder all the same from Butland.

A strange half of football. Lucky not to go behind early on and some really slack moments on the ball from us on top of that. However, to their credit, two good goals and a few decent performances: Barron, Raskin and Cerny all excellent. Just need to look after the ball better.

 

I'd now look to make some changes. Nana or Sterling on for Tav, McCausland for Cerny and take off Lawrence too. Let's keep the team fresh for Sunday.
