Basically we were not creating enough chances - never mind taking them - to deserve to win games comfortably. Beale's average difference was 0.94 difference between our xG and the opponents xGA. That's not even a goal more than our opponents. That improved significantly under Clement last season (and that's with the end of season slump built-in). You had Everton relegated last season but I said quite early that their xG showed they'd be safe from relegation. And GvB's. We don't have enough creativity in the middle of the park. We can't spend our way out of our problems. At some point somebody needs to figure out a way to get more out of the players that we have. Again, good coaching of average players will also only get us so far. It's a difficult task but we need to find quality players who are young, ambitious and willing to use Rangers as a stepping stone to top leagues. Cortes constantly injured Diomande hot and cold Iganane (never heard of him) can't dislodge Dessers Jefte about the best out the bunch but not as good as prime Barasic Diomande and Cortes cost us £4.5M each - hardly seems value for money at the moment.
