If you are going down the Daniel route then Daniel Cousin - perhaps more of an enigma - could be unplayable on his day but didnt do it enough. 

 

Tam Buffel was another of mine - always thought he was a classy player.

Tommy McLean was the assist king when Derek Johnstone was taking the plaudits for his goal tally. 

 

Bobby Russell was an excellent midfielder and footballer picked up for 200 pounds from the juniors when Cooper was the headline signing. Russell and Jardine on the right were very effective.

I don’t think McLean and Russell were unsung. McLean was compared unfavourably with his illustrious outside right predecessors in his early days until we ignorant spectators worked out what he was doing.
