Dujon Sterling has extended his contract until May 2028

RANGERS Football Club are today delighted to announce that Dujon Sterling has signed a contract extension which will keep him at the club until May 2028.

The 24-year-old has committed his future to the Light Blues after becoming a valuable member of Philippe Clement’s squad over the last 12 months.

Sterling joined the club from Chelsea in the summer of 2023 and quickly displayed his capacity to fulfil a number of different roles in the team.

In doing so, the Englishman made over 30 appearances, split between defence and midfield, in his maiden campaign at Ibrox.

Indeed, Sterling was a standout performer in the second half for the Gers in their memorable away victory over Real Betis to clinch qualification to the UEFA Europa League knockout stages last December.

Three days later, he produced a Man of the Match display in the League Cup final to help deliver the first piece of silverware of Clement’s reign.

Good decision or stuck with another perma crock long term? Time will tell but I'm unsure about this one.

It’s a gamble but a fully fit Sterling is a stick on starter. He’s one of the(very) few we’ve got who can actually read a game of football

I didn't think he was injured that much. 

 

He's mainly not involved because he's a utility player, a backup. 

 

He's good to have, though.

A good thing for me, I like him and at 100% when on it he is the best available player in about 3 positions on the park.
