Aye, the club have a get out of jail free card and they've not played it?

Do you also believe in Santa, Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy?

It's not totally unrealistic to think that external factors may have contributed.  The likes of the SFA and GCC aren't exactly our friends.

It isn't but it's unrealistic that the board didn't use it as an excuse!!!

I was told that Glasgow planning department didn't give this work in the east stand until the 24/25 June if that was the case client and contractors didn't leave   much time for any kind of contingency plan

I was also told that they hadn't given Celtic the authorisation to do the work agreed for the old firm games, hence why Celtic wouldn't give us tickets, but put the blame on us due to us having issues.

I've no idea the veracity of any of these claims, but picking a public fight with the council's planning department sounds like a perfect example of winning a battle but losing the war. Having a good working relationship with the council, no matter how difficult that might be at times, is definitely in the club's interests.

Anyway, we're back at Ibrox again, in the grand scheme of things the delay was annoying but temporary. Hopefully the board can address some of the other issues facing us now.

The only lingering concern for me is what the cost of delay is or are all costs (loss of income etc) covered by contractors/insurance.
