We must put the Celtic defeat behind us & go all out to show that the 3-0 defeat was not an accurate reflection on the game (they only had 5 or 6 shots on goal). Brave young referee gives an early booking to a bheasts for a poor tackle, and then a penalty to Hearts when Shanklands header from a corner hits the outstretched arm of Scales. A full 2 minutes of McGregor in his face, touching his arms, gesticulating, and clearly trying to influence the referee. When VAR does their usual and says in his ear “you don’t want the hassle mate, have another look” then this behaviour pays off as the referee goes to the monitor which is located right in amongst the bheasts fans who are all screaming at him, sees exactly what he seen when he gave the penalty, and bottles it and overturns the decision. I don’t think it’s paranoia to think that if this was at Ibrox, the penalty would stand because we would not spend that time trying to put doubt in the referees mind, and VAR may not see enough to suggest a review. 6 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

If they can do that and the basics, we'll win.
