Morelos, Roofe and DeFoe shared the striking responsibilities, only Morelos could be classed as a "presence". All 3 of them contributed with goals (ironically none scored more than Dessers did last season), but we also had Tav (who finished joint top scorer with Roofe if I remember correctly), Aribo, Kent, Arfiled all scoring goals on a regular(ish) basis. In our current squad, we could have a striker with all the presence in the world, it wouldn't make 1 iota of a difference. No matter who our number 9 is, we are over-relient on them to score our goals. Using Sunday as an example, our striker could have scored a hat-trick and still wouldn't have finished on the winning side. And off course those type of strikers grow on trees and you can pick them up from your local Poundland. At porkheid his pressing was fine the first fifteen minutes when he was pressing as part of a front three, but Matondo's weekly injury scuppered that. After that point it's just Dessers hasling two or three defenders and wasting his energy.
