Disappointed we couldn't get a few of the youngsters out on loan but its nice to see none of our signings have come from the 'overpriced' English leagues for once and there is a clear widening of the net looking for talent

I think we've done well to offload several overpaid players.  Outgoings have been slightly better than expected.

With incoming players, it's probably too early to cast any sort of valid judgement but I think we've brought in some decent ones.

I worry about the season ahead if we suffer similar injury problems as last season because we lack depth in a few areas.

I did say it would take a few windows to sort out previous mistakes and stand by that.  I can't see us winning the league but we should have enough to challenge them

Agree, we will have a better idea where we are as challangers come 2.15pm tomorrow.

I wonder what is the difference in wages weekly and yearly after offloading and recruitment, probably enough for a player next summer. I think Koppen and Clement seem alot more prudent and savvy in recruitment, just have to remember they have had to stretch out our budget to get the best bang for buck while shifting on the dead wood on big money and losing all the experience aswell for free.

I’m still not convinced we are strong enough at CB. And maybe both FB positions too.

I also wonder if Matondo is now back in Clement’s plans. I thought he’d at least go out on loan. If used correctly he can cause teams all sorts problems.

Barjami should be a sound signing.

It really is too early to judge the new players but I'm not deterred in any way.

I think, apart from maybe Barron and Kelly, they are all mercenaries that will give up after only the slightest pressure.

As such you can ignore any talent that they have and accept that they are rubbish.

We should look on the bright side though. It was really good to part company with many of the last batch of rubbish players.

Some new players giving the manager more options oh well it's up to them now to try and win the league

Mon the Gers. :rfc:

Exactly we just need to back them now they will take time to gel and Clement imo is the man for the job. He needs time to mould the players, There will be bumps in the road we just need to remain level headed and realistic to where the previous management and board have lead us to and what needs to be endured to get back to normalcy.

Didn't think we'd do as well as we have on the outgoings tbh.

Incomings..Diomande, Barron and Jefte all look promising which in itself is promising on the recruitment front.

The squad and team age needed to come down drastically from last season and it looks like that's happened.

Overall, I'd give it a 7/10.

As ever with scope to go up or down in the following seasons.

Agree with the above that it won't be until the window slams shut next Summer when we can properly take stock of the rebuild and recruitment under Koppen.
