I like our structure (3-2-4-1), but a couple of personnel don't quite suit it, IMO. 

 

Tavernier could struggle as an inverted FB because he is not the best in tight spots and he likes the pitch in front of him, not back to goal. 

 

I don't care for Lawrence, but he has got an assist today. 

 

We just need to get better at our automatisms in playing through the thirds and exploit the wings more.

Two very good goals, hot woodwork twice (Lawrence should have scored) but still a little suspect in defence. 

 

Left hand side far more balanced and effective than our right hand side.

 

Oh, and looks like we're off to Parkhead with 1 centre half 🙄

First 15 was lacking in quality but I thought for the last half hour we were really decent.

 

Made GOOD chances and should be 3 or 4 up with better finishing.

 

Cerny the player so far.

 

Butland with 2 saves that preluded the goals will always be satisfying for a keeper, and imo he's played well so far (early!) this season.

Should be 4 or 5, with Matondo especially wasteful. What was it, his 5th attempt? Lawrence after his assist anonymous again, he sure does not get paid for miles run and challenges made.

 

Our theme for the last ... 5 to 8 season remains in full swing: we sign players, 90-100 kilos of muscle and sinew, yet breaking down with injury and problems once they touch the Scottish pitches.

 

You just hope all-action Cerny doesn't pick up an injury before next weekend.
