The Rangers B alternative proposed by the Scottish FA

Also whilst I'm at it, if this goes deeper than simply just loaning players and we end up subsidising the partner club with different things then isn't just worth it to build on the community pitch at Ibrox and build a <10k stadium for the Women's and B team?

Have a proper matchday complex/experience following the Rangers.

Maybe I'm on the deludamol but if we're a serious club I'd like to think we've had discussions around this.

The best option is still having the B team in the league system.

It's just a suggestion from a report, so it's very, very early stages.

I doubt it'll get off the ground but it's nice to see they're looking at the issue.

We need to get B-Teams more involved.

Like you said, I think B-Teams in the league pyramid would be best.

Anything is surely better than the B team playing endless friendlies.  The cynic in me thinks this will go nowhere though

Aye it's all b****cks mate.

He'll be accused of being a one eyed hun but he's bang on.

Can't we levy 10-15% of our ticket sales every home game for the opposition or something?

Our pathway into the first team is pathetic though.

We should be farming Scottish talent Ajax style.

If you generate 4x the revenue of the team in third but can't develop your own then wind up the academy man.

This should've been the aim under Ally but the management on and off the pitch were scared stiff of wallowing in the lower leagues.

Even young domestic talent too - Doig, Ferguson and Shankland should all be playing for Rangers and for a few years by now too.

Those decisions post 2012 (lack of) are bearing out to this day.

Rant over.

Just seen Kieran Maguire has posted the accounts for Dumbarton.

Here's the post:

Thought I'd put this in here, if they do end up as a going concern could we strike a partnership deal with them to help them out ?

I know it's vulture behaviour but we've got a good relationship with the club what with the B team using their pitch in seasons past, might still.

In days of old we had a proper reserve league which was good for bringing in and developing youngsters as well as giving players coming back from injury game time to sharpen up their fitness I used to attend lots of reserve matches

There was a few ex pros who said the reserve league was great for them as a youngster as they got to play with / against guys who were also 1st team players for their teams and it helped them adjust. The gap between B team and first team is too big.

On @yuddie's point about Dumbarton. I've said before just buy them through a myriad of shell companies like Ashley did with us. The loan / transfer them all our talent with contract clauses we get first dibs.

Does this set of accounts take int account us using their ground for B Games? We seemed to have moved from there to Cappilow and Forthbank
