I know very little about them or their board.

From my point of view they're well run only in so far as we have given them a free run at the title and CL for 13 years; a good chunk of that time was outwith our control. More recently because we haven't invested wisely.

I think it is as simple as just spending money more wisely.

We should have won the league last year.

But we didn't and the manager has to take a share of the blame and responsibility for that.

I thought Bennett said a new CEO was going to be appointed within a week of his interview? Still nothing.

I don't think he said that. I believe he was noticeably silent on the whole issue of a CEO?

I said it earlier in the summer and it might be controversial but we should have openly touted the sale of Butland in the summer. His sale could potentially bring in 10-15 million and that combined with player sales would have help fund our much needed rebuild. Butlands a great goalie (not as good as some people make out though...) but we have bigger issues in front of him to fix. Kelly would be good enough for the SPL and with better players in front of him.

I fully agree with the sentiment (selling to fund a rebuild), but I doubt we get anything close to £10-15m for him.

Yes, he's asked to leave but why aren't we still playing in the mean time? He's arguably still the best 10 we've got.

I wouldn't play a player that has asked to leave.

On current form, we'd be lucky to get £3m.

Do you think he hasn’t?

The turning point was the postponement of a match (Dundee?) which if Rangers had won would have put them on top of the league. As a result of the postponement the other team in the race got another game before Rangers did and the points gap was extended. Rangers still had games in hand but the momentum collapsed.

Old Rangers sides would have redoubled their efforts but that wasn’t in the current players. You can say that the manager should have got them to do it. Would Smith or Wallace or Symon have done it? With that squad? @26th of foot says elsewhere, you can only play the hand you’ve got.

Cantwell’s agent was going round clubs offering a list of available players which included Cantwell presumably with his agreement. Clement found out & we are where we are today
