Not good enough ultimately though. A ground we normally win at and I don't think Celtic will drop as many points this season as they did last.

So we start this season like we finished last - looking like a team with no structure, no playing style, lacking in fitness and picking up injuries.

If this is an indication of how the season is going to pan out, it's gonna be long painful one.

Butland and Barron the standouts for me - hopefully Pröpper can come in and be a voice of calm at the back because we move like the balls a grenade in defence.

Oh well. Maybe next season.

We could have hoped for better but in reality we all knew this would be the outcome.

Injuries, players looking uninterested, no urgency, manager delighted with his new contract as he’ll get a better pay off in October.

This needs fresh faces to turn it around and im not confident the club has the capability or capacity to add enough. 2-3 new players won’t cut it.

A draw at Tynecastle isn't a disaster but the performance was quite concerning, as there really wasn't much difference to what we saw at the end of last season.

I can quite confidently predict we won't win the league unless we improve the defence, midfield and forward positions before the window closes.

No goals conceded against super-top-notch striker this side of Saturn's rings, again. Never an easy place to go, the deficits in the team are not new, and need no repetition.

Ceterum, peto ut mutanda ratio!

I think given the wastefulness and lack of quality on show from us, a draw isn't the worst result. However, many of the same issues from last season remain. Unsurprising when it was pretty much the same team but the manager simply has to find more from whoever is playing.

We can't fault (most of) the effort but, as per last term, the tempo isn't good enough, our passing is dreadful and our attacking/defensive awareness is woeful along with an obvious lack of creative influence across the side. It's not good enough and I don't want to hear excuses.
