Premier League 2024/25

Tottenham win to get back to back league wins and 12th is slightly better on the eye for them. But Man Utd are in crisis, I dont think Amorin signed up for this and I can see him walking unless he gets about 7 first teamers in the summer.

It’s hard to climb the greasy pole so they say but could Manchester United go down I know there’s a way to go but sometimes when a club is failing it’s hard to stop the fall they are three places above the relegation zone and don’t forget you usually get one or two in that zone to rally near the end and you hear the pundits saying they’ll have to buy for next season they will probably have to sell first to stay within the stupid financial rules it’s going to be interesting.

There is no way they will go down, Ipswich and Wolves would need to win 4 more games out of 13 than Man Utd and thats not happening.

Goodison gets a good atmosphere but if ever there was a stadium that was tired looking its that one.

Im sure there will be the digital advertisements and scoreboard around the concrete middle before the start of next season which will finish that stadium off nicely. I thought the capacity would be a bit more than 52,888 they could have got nearer 60,000.

Clubs building stadiums like Leicester, Stoke, Southampton and Derby was common for a while but there seems to be a lot of people saying they become soulless and clubs have gone away with that which is great.

Aston Villa are adding 8000 seats with a new stand which will make Villa Park up to date and pretty awesome.

Spurs built on White Hart Lane Site.

Man Utd will either rebuild Old Trafford or build on site.

Newcastle will build on current site (albeit may move 100-200 meters behind the current stadium).

Nottingham Forest are staying at the City Ground and building a new stand.

Palace - Building a new stand.

Stamford Bridge will be renovated eventually as the club have purchased all the surrounding buildings they needed, but i doubt the bits of the original surrounding wall of 1905 still standing will survive this rebuild!

The stadium in a box grounds are soulless, but cheap, so can understand why clubs went that way.

But we won't be doing an Arsenal or Spanners and moving down the road. In Arsenal's case twice!!

A rearranged game tonight, Villa not in the best form - having a sloppy draw with Ipswich at home last weekend. But they are good under the lights in the big games and I fancy them to get something.

Aston Villa 2-2 Liverpool

Chelsea definitely need to rebuild or build new to progress, Stamford Bridge is holding them back with only having a 41000 capacity. There still isnt much room behind the goal to the right (camera view) nor the 3 tier stand with the railway directly behind it. But they can easily turn the pitch and move it down. Ive stayed in the Hotel at the stadium before and there is a bit of space while walking around the old shed end and the other stand. But it would be a massive job to build a new stadium on that site but they dont have much options as Battersea power station was pretty much their only option.

Im also surprised they dont have a shirt sponsor for additional revenue.

Yes they are planning to move the stadium around as they have purchased the Oswald Stoll mansions (about 1.9 acres) to the left of the railway tracks. Whether they use the existing plans developed under Abramovitch that had planning permission or develop their own, it will take a while to complete.
