Listening to the football experts on sky sports last night one said this Portuguese bloke who might be the next manager of united plays his teams in a certain formation and pointed out that united don’t have the players that would suit this formation if that’s true then united are taking a risk I would have went for Mr Tuchel pay the FA the compensation and get on with it .

Adamant 3-4-3 but I think Man Utd are suited to that, it would just mean Bruno Fernandes missing out unless he tweaks his No.10 role - but I cant see him being dropped with the Portuguese connection with Amorim.

On Tuesday he was as good as the Man U manager but yesterday it went quiet. Whether there is a change of mind it wouldnt surprise me with their current squad - but I think its to do with Sporting demanding he serves his 30 days notice.

In addition to the 30 days notice, Sporting also want additional compensation for the backroom staff. Bet Man U didnt see that one coming.

They can afford it the thing about United that has me wondering is Mr Ratcliffe has a helluva lot of say for a minority shareholder this Glazer family a pretty shrewd business men I wonder what’s going on letting Ratcliffe make decisions about the manager and stadium redevelopment he’s already taking the derry for all the redundancies at the club maybe a useful fool them they’ll buy his investment back from him after taking out a loan in the clubs name.

That was the deal: he invested over a billion for a minority stake and got full control of the football department.

And previously nobody was running it - easiest Billion or 2 the Glazers ever made!

This will be tough this weekend, last week was crazy with injury times goals in almost every game.

- Gunners with loads of injuries but I like how Arteta hasnt used it as an excuse.

- Routine City win. Loads of injuries which Pep has complained about but they can still field a top XI.

- First win for Ipswich.

- Forest doing really well but questions still hang over Lopetegui at West Ham.

- Smash and grab for Everton.

- Palace are onto their game now.

- Tottenham v Villa could go anyway.

- Man U players will be on trial with Amorin watching but Chelsea probably have the better players.

- Monday night game is a nice fixture. When I lived down south this would have been a 3rd tier fixture. These two and Leyton Orient were London's lesser clubs.

Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal

Bournemouth 0-2 Man City

Ipswich 2-1 Leicester

Liverpool 3-1 Brighton

Nottingham Forest 2-2 West Ham

Southampton 0-1 Everton

Wolves 1-2 Crystal Palace

Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa

Man Utd 2-2 Chelsea

Fulham 2-1 Brentford
