Jon 0
Just seeing that compensation has been agreed and he is joining part of the Newcastle back room team tomorrow. Is this a good move to go from manager to backroom? Some of the reports are suggesting that he was under a lot of restrictions from the board, but he has done an excellent job with them. Jus twondered everyones thoughts....

eightball 0
To be honest I think DW knows that Leeds aren't going to get promoted, and he sees it as an escape route leaving his reputation reasonably intact. Harry Bassett will probably take over fulltime now, so expect Leeds to languish in the lower divisions for a while...
Gribz 842
Strange one that he is going there as director of football. That job is a nonsense for me. Thats Leeds fooked then
Gazza_8 233
Gary Mac is 1/4 to get the Leeds job. That'll be that then!!!! Good move for Leeds IMO. If Wise went to Newcastle as the assistant manager then I reckon that would help Newcastle and probably improve Wise as a manager too but Director of Football? Strange one.
eightball 0
Really can't fathom why he's going as DoF. David Pleat reckons it is a job for an older experienced man, so Wise being offered and taking it really is a strange one.

stewarty 2,007
That's Gary Mac been appointed manager of Leeds on a 6 month contract. 6 month contract? Guess they dont believe they are going up then! Might have something to do with Macca's personal life though...
