Samaras joins Celtic on loan

Are You On Drugs Fraser51? I'll sum this guy up in 1 word - Shite

Every time he comes of the bench he scores for Hearts, mostly evfery time he starts he scores. He has scored aginst us at Ibrox, Celtic at Parkhead, also has scored against Hibs. He can do it against the big teams

I'll be pretty disappointed if we sign Samaras for this fee and at the wages that are being quoted.

The guy excelled in a league where you are given plenty of time on the ball, but failed in a league where the game is played at a fast pace. Ok, the defending in the SPL may not be as good, but I think that Samaras will struggle in Scotland. And if he can't play the lone striker role then what is the point in even looking at him?

Technically he is far superior to Boyd. If he gets as many goals remains to be seen. I certainly don't remember him as a lazy player in fact it was his movement off the ball that gave Huntelaar so many chances. I don't know why but i had a feeling we would go for him.

Fair do's mate. My comment was in relation to others' analyssi fo the player. From the little i've seen of him in England (as he struggles to get a game or impress when he does) does nto inspire confidence.

However you're not the first to suggest he was a decent player in Holland and maybe Walter thinks he can get the best out of him.

Still think we should be looking at playing two up front with Boyd feeding off the service of another.

^ with judicious editing even mladnoveic looked great, but some of this says he certainly has talent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJNYfGNqTRE&feature=related

Lol - After reading that , i had to go hunting just for a laugh. There is virtually no footage of big Dragan kicking a ball but i managed to unearth this piece of magic from one of our most outstanding flops

Fast forward to goal number 11 ;)

Without starting another Boyd debate !!!, I agree 100% with SA on this,if we were to play two up front including Boyd, Boyd would be top scorer every season,as he has already proved.

I think that stems into the other argument that if we do play 2 upfront we are back to having the dilema of who plays in midfield and it lacks creativity. Not that we lack that just now of course.

Its not like we are Man U who can play 2 holding midfielders (Hargreaves and Carrick) then let Giggs and Ronaldo roam free.

Our best bet IMO is McCulloch left (until Beasley gets fit) and Novo right with Ferguson and Hemdani in midfield then have 2 upfront.
