He's nowhere near ready as he's shown tonight. This is his 1st 1st team game in his career

And he looked much better than King tonight, who played in Europe for us. Just my humble opinion.

If anything, Clement knows who is not ready for the first team and the bench after the last two games. Doubt we'll see this starting line-up again this season, though.

Anywhere close to the first 40 mins on Saturday and half the Legion might commit suicide. As per usual ahead of the season and losses to no-marks.

After some (valid) criticism at HT, only fair I point out that was better in 2nd half and we arguably merited a draw in the end. However, too often last season we didn't start playing for long periods and this cannot happen again when the competitive stuff starts next week.

Negatives were highlighted earlier so some positives now: Kelly's distribution was very good; Nsiala grew into the game; we scored an excellent goal and a few of the younger lads looked bright. But, overall, it was far from good enough and we must show improvement on Saturday.

I would fine any player a weeks wage if they hit a long high ball. It's soul destroying watching this. It seems every team in modern football can play in a coherent shape with guile and pace....apart from us.

Unless long balls are an actual tactic from our manager...

To be fair, some of the passes from Kelly were very good.

The problem is we have to resort to them as not enough of our players are strong enough to not only receive the ball under pressure but keep it and use it too. Not to mention our passing can be woeful. As such, we lose it far too often when we try to pass our way through teams.

Not saying that means we go 4-4-2 with long ball after long ball but sometimes the direct route can be merited.

King was playing out of position at right back. Also, King has shown he is not of the required standard.

The lad looked steadier in the 2nd half, but manager has already stated he's one for the future.

Pity it's 1st team ready and quality players that we urgently require.
