Pre-Season Friendlies

Rumours suggest we might be visiting Birmingham (City) and (Union) Berlin in mid-late July.  

 

Anyone heard anything else?

 

I do enjoy an away friendly and I actually booked a trip to Berlin in late July, a few weeks ago, so I'm hoping the Union rumour turns out to be a very happy coincidence.  I'd like to attend the one in Brum too but reckon tickets will be quite hard to come by.

Aye I'm hoping to get to the Birmingham City friendly as it's local.

 

The team need an intensive camp somewhere so I'm guessing we'll have a bounce match at the end of it.

 

Or not, I might be talking shite.

Don't bother booking a hotel in Berlin as you'll have no shortage of hospitality from some fellow Gersnetters 😉 .

If you find yourself disorientated in Berlin and want to know the direction home?

 

My advice is the same as it was forty years past when I was charged with Berllin's anti-tank defence plan, follow the Soviet/Russian tanks, they will be heading west.

I forgot we're playing Manchester United at Murrayfield on 20th July.  Strangely, even though Murrayfield is only about a 25 minute walk from my house, I have no intention of attending that one, mainly due to the ticket price.

Agreed.  I immediately discounted the idea myself for that reason.  Felt exploitative.
