Looking at his stats, he certainly looks a decent player. Did well at Brugge with Clement. 

I don't mind gambling on a couple of players like this if they have a low wage and a short contract.

 

Past experience suggests that neither of those things will be true.

Cantwell set for Blackburn talks

Rangers midfielder Todd Cantwell will have talks with Blackburn Rovers today ahead of a proposed move to the club.

 

The 26-year-old has submitted a transfer request and it is believed a deal can be struck between the two clubs.

 

Personal terms, however, are yet to be agreed.

 

Cantwell joined Rangers from Norwich last January and scored 14 goals plus created 12 goals in 64 games.

 

He has been training with the Rangers B team since telling boss Philippe Clement he wants to leave Ibrox.
