Yeah, nothing special but a work-horse and a ball carrier. And versatile. 

 

One caveat is that he was playing for a poor Sassuolo.

I think it was wise rather than naive.

You've tied yourself in knots - it was naive to expect anything other than the inevitable outcome.

 

So the panicking and moaning was justified unless you are happy with falling further and further behind. 

 

It's a sad day when Rangers fans are accepting mediocrity and constantly being 2nd best.
