We’re not in a position atm where we can afford to leave out Hagi & Cantwell for whatever reasons. Our squad isn’t big enough and putting the likes of Dowell & Lawrence in the team ahead of them makes no sense to me.

Hagi isn't match fit.  If Cantwell did behave unprofessionally during pre-season and has asked to leave, what kind of message do you think it would send to other players if Clement picked him to start?  

 

Clement isn't an idiot or a novice, there must be valid reasons for his decisions.

We don't have a small squad; it's actually a decent size: we have two players for each position. Arguably it's still too big.

 

Last season's squad was unbelievably bloated. We've made good progress in reducing it. 

 

The issue is we don't have the quality in the squad that we need.

 

That's partly the reason - the main reason being we're skint - why we have to sell to buy; one out, one in.

That and that half of the squad aren’t capable of playing football at this level physically.

If Cantwell did act unprofessionally then we should be taking steps to dismiss him & remove him from the club. 
How can Hagi not be fit? He was at the euros?

Late back to pre-season (due to Euros and his wedding). 

 

He posted a pic on his socials last week with "2nd week of pre-season complete" (or something similar).

All this talk about players not being match fit I wonder it's not as if we play football at any real pace no lightning breaking from defence so if players are fit enough get them on the bench at least even depending on situation give them the last 20 minutes
