Dessers already on 2 goals for the season, a brilliant finish that gor us out of jail in Tuesday and the important (earlyish) opener yesterday. 

 

He does appear to score important goals.

Yes and if by some mischance we do happen to sell him we'd better find somebody pretty damned quick who can guarantee 20 plus goals a season not inc. penalties and stay fit. Good luck with that.

I'm sure the manager indicated that at a recent press conference.  Said targets were dependent in if we are in CL or EL (we have targets for either scenarios).

I'd hope the £4m payment for getting to the CL play-off would make a difference too - there are three scenarios (CL, EL with £4m and EL), rather than just two.

Ironic that some players will be given the task of progressing to the next stage in the knowledge that by so doing they’ll be funding their replacements.

Cifuentes loan with obligation to buy looks likely to be sealed soon. We are paying a % of his wages this season but worth it as we'll receive a fee for him.

 

Cantwell is back training with the 1st squad after being relegated to B Team. Anyone's guess what that means regarding his short-term future.

 

Hagi said himself that he is only on his 2nd week of pre-season so miles behind. Played for B Team at weekend and scored a hat-trick. Unsure if the interest in him is real or just a figment of his agents imagination.

 

Only time will tell what will happen with Cantwell and Hagi - still leaves players like Davies, Tav, Ridvan, Lawrence,  Dowell, Matondo, Wright etc that we could be doing with moving on / replacing.
