Not sure if it has been mentioned but how's about the new guy from Twente as a new captain? That was his role during his time in the Netherlands and he speaks good English. We wanted fresh ideas and the old failures to be swept aside. I also don't like the idea of a keeper as captain.

I’ll second that having a goalie as captain isn’t beneficial

Clement's extension of contract shows the Board in a better light. Stability, continuity and, ongoing confidence. Remember, it took Gerrard three seasons of building to put together a league championship winning team.

 

I believe if we give this Gaffer time, he will deliver.
