Aye, I'm not saying I agree with it.  Football is over analysed and over complicated these days.  All the focus seems to be on percentages and that's why we rarely see players do something extraordinary or take a chance against the odds.

I prefer 4-4-2.

I blame that separatist prick Pep Guardiola.

Percentage football is an old school term.

We should have pushed a little harder to get Whittaker from Swansea last season.

He was terrific last season. I knew then that he was out of our league.

For what it's worth I don't like Guardiola's influence on football at all.

Watching the defence play it up and down the line 3 times to play it back to the keeper is mind numbing.

We've apparently bid £7m for Whittaker.

I mean, if this is pulled off it would be our best signing in years.

Keeping my powder dry.

Didn't Russell Martin put the kibosh on the deal last season?

Argyle would be mad to sell him for less than 10m imo.

Well out of our price range, he's EPL bound probably.

I'm sure I read that the neat they've ever sold a player for is £3M. Not saying we'd get him for anywhere near that, but £7M *may* interest them.
