The Summer 2024 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

I've never felt so pessimistic about the start to a season. And I'm normally a glass half-full type.

Its not the lack of transfer movement that's killing my vibe, its the constant injuries. I have no confidence that a hard pre season and a new physio / sports scientist will fix such a large problem. Hopefully I'm wrong.

How long for? TBH you cant really miss what you have never had..

Not been confirmed.

Also what's happened to Hamza Igamane? Is he with the squad?

There were some suggestions Raskin was actually fine after the weekend - just some bruising more than anything else. Not had that confirmed.

Rangers should replace 'Ready' with 'Not Yet Confirmed'.

The CIA are less cryptic.

Since Cryptic FC divulge less than the CIA we have to look at the clues.

Crutches and compression cast after the game. Not indicative of bruising more of joint swelling. My money is on high ankle sprain. Swelling should have subsided enough by now to permit MRI or some other form of 'scan', if required. Fingers crossed.

 6-8 weeks.

Lammers ... is a striker. he played in 31 games for us (1642 mins), 7 times as right-winger (no goals or assists), 6 times as secondary striker (1 goal, 1 assist), 5 times as attacking midfielder (1 goal), and 2 times as striker. Games missing are those with less than 30 mins on the park and/or no position given). That is, we played him 2 times as a striker.

At Utrecht, he played in 20 games (1817 mins), every single one as striker, with 11 goals and 3 assists.

It very much remains to be seen what will happen to him now, you also wonder why he played/trained with the B-Team. The latter suggests that he's defo not in Clement's plans, but who knows?

He's clearly not part of Clement's plans, that's why he's with the B team. I understand it's mutual, Lammers wants to leave, for whatever reasons he didn't settle in Scotland or at Rangers. It's best for everyone that he moves on. He might need to accept a drop in salary for that too happen, so a lot will depend on the player himself. I suspect this will drag on until the last minute as interested clubs wait to see if we blink and agree to cover some of his salary and we wait and see if the clubs who want him blink and agree to pay him closer to what he's on with us.

Whatever stats might say he's been a really poor signing for us. Not every player is capable of playing for Rangers, often that's not to do with footballing ability. Lammers falls into this category.
