The Summer 2024 Rangers Transfer Window Rumours and Deals - Thread

Recommended Posts

Is the Rangers Review not just the journos that write for the well known Rangers-hating piece of trash known as the daily Rhebel? I am sure I heard that somewhere, and on that basis I have never read or looked at anything it says as it will be utter garbage, but see it being quoted or referred to as some sort of fans media, which I am assuming it is not.

No its part of the Newsquest Evening times / Herald group. 100% not fan media correct.

If its good enough for some of the H&H guys and Stevie Clifford to go on (granted they are probably paid) its ok by me.

Seen a fair bit of bed wetting on socials about our window so far.

Love a signing 🤝 hate the furore that comes with it.

Hopefully the training has been good so far and Clement can instil a 'no excuse' mentality, because he'll need it with the Ibrox situation.

Looking forward to seeing what Koppen and the manager can do for next season.

Not much else to say tbh.

I can understand the bed wetting to a degree. As it stands I'm not sure this squad is any better than last year.

In fact I'd say the 2 big loans we had in Sima and Silva, with the latter not really impressing much but being fit and available for 6 months not being here does weaken us quite a bit.

Aye I get that, but we've got 2 months of the window left.

I'll happily come on this site and say it was a disaster if we don't shift 3 or 4 senior players and bring in 5 or 6 to improve the XI.

If Koppen has sounded out players that may not be able to come in for whatever reason for the next few weeks, but believes they are key to our plan then have a little patience.

Signing a dozen players and shifting a dozen more in the first couple of weeks of the summer has hardly ever been done successfully at the top level - maybe if you're a part time outfit or something. The only one I can think of really is Chelsea under Abramovich all those years ago.

What I DON'T like is the noise around our business, which leads to speculation and the subsequent 'bed wetting'. I'd rather 0 leaks with no idea of what's happening than the constant tripe we see said about our club.

Also it is worth mentioning that with the policy we're pursuing in signing promising young talent - we might not be stronger in the short term but it is very much a long term vision for the team.

We do need to supplement it with some good experience right enough.

Given how poor our last few transfer windows have been, fans have no confidence in the club to deliver on or off the park. Whether its transfers, construction projects, medical department or games v the rotten mob we have a track record of failure.

I don't think any supporter can be blamed for being negative. The club has given very little cause for optimism recently, other than hiring Clement.
