The English players seem to be a decent bunch and I’ve no quarrel with any fan who goes to the match on a Saturday but tourism fans, many scribes and pundits (just like our own) are a waste of time. Disappeared for long periods and not much variation in his play. Prefer the Portuguese sub Conceição. Walker - never. Cancelo’s the man. Bellingham instead of Ruiz Player of the tournament? Cucurella. Had a hard time against Saka - who doest’t? - but Saka never rarely got right away from him. Not the most convincing tackler but usually managed to disrupt his opponent’s game and he was always there when his defence needed a get-out pass or his forwards needed backup. Never stopped.
