Thing is though and this is just my personal point of view but Newcastles defence is pathetic so to bring in a manager who didn't give a fuck about defending is a backward step. The defence must be sorted out first before the other negatives are addressed.

You would have to think that Keegan recognised that from his last spell and would correct it ?

I dont think its a backward step at all. Its similar to us taking Smith back.

He stated he wouldnt manage again but the lure of Newcastle shows he must be really up for it. It will be interesting to see who he takes in as his No.2

This is gonna fall apart imo. Then Shearer will get it, and he too will fuck it up. Its a poisoned chalice. Major backward step.

I dont rate big Sam but they should have given him more time

I agree. The Geordies are lovin' the decision to bring back Keegan but I reckon it'll all end in tears.

Do you not think there is a kind of karma that goes to clubs who sack good managers and they struggle for years afterwards?

Newcastle sacked Robson when he was doing pretty well and have never been the same since.

Look at Aberdeen and Alex Smith...

Airdrie sacked Alex MacDonald and then went out of business.

Even Rangers had a poor spell after getting rid of Wallace - although he wasn't sacked, they paid him a pittance and he was offered twice as much at Leicester, an English 2nd division team, which they refused to match despite him winning the treble twice in three years.

St Mirren were rubbish after they sacked Ferguson. A decision probably up there with the guy who turned down the Beatles.

Arsenal went though a bad patch after sacking George Graham.

And the list goes on.
