Gribz 1,225
Thats ignoring the facts and your argument. No its not, my argument is we have went top while Boyd has been on the bench. Just coz he is top scorer it doesnt mean he has put us there - others have been chipping in with the goals.
johnnyk 158
Well I'll explain once again for you: Yes Boyd can go - as ive said loads of times he can go 4 or 5 games missing sitter after sitter but then notches a few goals against the likes of Falkirk and he's everyone hero All I ever said about Sebo was to TRY him, its been misinterpreted by a few on here and then assumed I rate him - my comments on him would come out once he was given a try - does that register? It must be great for you lot who can judge him on a 3 minute run there and a 7 minute run then 100% know he is a failure. As for Buffel - I rate him. I havent seen much of him but when he wasnt playing out of position he impressed me. The games that stcik out were the 3-1 OF win at the start of last season and when he came on against Porto in the CL. Thats my view on it so you lot can think your right and im wrong if you like but I know Im not alone on my thoughts and then again what the fuck have we won trophywise in the last few years when playing dumplings like Boyd - jack shit!! so there you go it's all the likes of boyds fault we've won he haw, c'mon ffs m8 he can't win it himself and he has done no bad doing his job which is what scoring goals is it not he can't play in goals, defend and set up himself at the same time  you are again rating buffel on a few good performances, boyd has had far more good performaces ratio wise than buffel for rangers IMO. you said yourself you've hardly seen him play and you rate him on that, a bit silly again IMO for anyone to do that. surely the fans who have seen him every game he has played are the ones who know what he's really like!!! sebo had proved he's not that good, he's got a good run of games in france and done nothing. i've seen most of his games he's played in and he's not improved one bit, runs about daft and his touch is worse than boyds and doesn't score many goals which is a big problem for a striker IMO. it's all about opinions and one we obviously won't ever agree on
Jon 0
you are again rating buffel on a few good performances, boyd has had far more good performaces ratio wise than buffel for rangers IMO. I cant agree more with that. Every supporter will have an opinion, that is their right. Just sometimes hearing it a little less often when incorrect would be nice
Gazza_8 233
I can sort of agree with Gribz. We're sitting top of the league without playing our most natural scorer who tends to fluff more than he scores anyway. I'd punt JCD too. Way to injury prone and getting on which means the chances of him getting over his injuries are slim meaning he'll be sat on the physios room more often than not.

Boyd was just one of them. It was the better players with quality like Prso, Ferguson, Hemdani etc who have kept us in the top 3 in the table in the last few seasons. If they were taken out and replaced with a hand picked few from Motherwell, Killie, Falkirk and St Mirren I cant imagine where we would be. The problem we had 12-24 months ago was the standard of Rangers player wasnt good enough but WS has improved the team in the last year, Obviously he cant sign 11 stars but he has certainly done the job and moved a lot of the average players out the starting XI. The only one who has really kept his place is McGregor but fair play to him he has improved a lot and deserves to be in the team.
Jon 0
Sorry, I still cant agree. Top scorer by miles for 2 seasons, still out top scorer only coming off the bench (mostly). Sorry I just dont see the argument. Im not but if I was Id play a formation that suited that player, certainly against the so called diddy teams....but we dont
Gazza_8 233
Maybe WS doesn't know who's best to play him with upfront. Maybe there's better players out there than Boyd and WS knows it. Right now, Cousin and Naismith are doing extremely well upfront together. No reason to change that!
Jon 0
They proabbaly havent score the goals when started Boyd has scored coming from the bench. How is that better? WS is the only one who can answer I guess and this is all futile. I just will never understand the hard time Boyd gets from some on here, and I do think it's a minority on here

I doubt it! Attackers don't (but they should) have to score every game. They can run into spaces to open spaces up for other players to shoot from. Goals isn't everything from an attacker As long as Rangers win I don't care who scores the goals. It could be 3 OGs for all I care.
Super_Ally 0
I think the fact he is our top scorer whilst rarely starting shows he is a valuable member of the squad and it would be ridiculous to get rid of him. Goals win games, points and ultimately leagues. I like Jon would start him. I certainly don't think he'll move in this window. With JCD perma-injured and Cousin possibly wnating away, with both getting on, that only really leaves Naismith and Boyd. Any team ideally needs two quality players for each position, so in respect of our squad it does not make sense to sell the countries best goalscorer.
