Eh! how can you jump from a very good performance tonight to giving you the fear v's them?

Because we wouldn't have scored if we played for another week.

We were fine in possession and defended stoutly but wasted every decent opportunity we had to create or score a goal.

Like someone else has said, the only difference between us and Benfica was the quality in attack and we've said the same about us and them too.

The boys did alright tonight, hopefully they screw their heads on now and attack a treble.

Truth is we often get our expectations out of kilter with reality. Anyone who's seriously upset at going out to Benfica by the minimum margin is expecting way too much. As we rebuild yet again, I regard our EL run as another success. So much more to look forward to.

It will be interesting to hear what PC has to say tonight.

Agreed. I didn't fancy us to win tonight, but I did believe we had a chance, you have to give credit to the players and our manager for our effort despite our horrendous injuries, and not just tonight!. I can't wait to see us next season if the manager gets the best financial backing he can get get!. PC is the real deal.

I still don't see what that has got to do with them?. Our players have done us proud since PC came in, dealing with injuries, PC is the real deal. Nothing to do with facing them!.

Yeah...you can ultimately lose yet still reap many positives.

There is no contradiction.

Winning our group and making it to the final 16 when Rangers appeared to be finished due to incompetent management (Beale) and injury.

That was laudable...that brought the club much needed funds and aided the coefficient...and and and.

We just met our end earlier than we would have liked.

Big Picture...big picture.

I agree mate, we looked as good as them in possession which is some going.

What I'm getting at is that with our current attacking options and our previous for not taking/creating chances v them that I'm a bit apprehensive for it after watching tonight.

PC will win us leagues no doubt, but he needs a competent medical department and recruitment drive to get us where we want to be let's be honest.

Right now it's all about beating Dundee and wrapping the lads in cotton wool during the break.

NO, the only parts that you chose to highlight, not that mattered.

Anyway, I'm proud of my team tonight, entirely up to you if you are as well, or not, as the case may be.
