Always good to see a photo of the Famous of any era but especially one featuring R. C. Hamilton the outstanding goal-scoring centre forward of Elgin City and Rangers, Galactico Superstar a century before the words were invented.

Every time I see or hear the name Jim Forrest I wonder just how many he would have scored if our gutless manager had told his chairman to keep to building houses and out of football matters.

I remember the game at Ibrox very well. The result was close but in truth Rangers were well beaten by an outstanding side. One of the best goalies I’ve seen, two competent tradesmen at fullback, bruisers at centre half and centre forward, at wing-half one architect and one game dominator, at inside forward one goal-maker and one goal-taker and a Welsh wizard on either wing. Perfectly balanced

Spurs were a supreme team back then and like most top English teams they had their share of good Scottish players all who’d walk into the present international team

There's probably a team in that group that would win the premiership
