Eck resigns as Scotland Manager

Recommended Posts

They're just playing the game. The SFA would have known Eck had wanted to go but couldn't be seen to just give him up without a fight, so he has to resign.

Same deal with WS which was why he took so much flak for it from Scotland fans.

This is a wrong move for him if he wants to be ambitious even though his wages will double. No way will Birmingham be a top 10 EPL club.

His resignation stinks a wee bit but the SFA knew he wanted a club so they could have allowed Birmingham to talk to him.

However if he waited a bit longer he would have got the chance of Newcastle or Middlesboro as I feel those 2 jobs are coming up, but Newcastle will probably go foreign.

Anyway as Gisabeer said, Walter set the Scotland side up for him, ive said Smith deserves more credit for the Euro campaign and bar the France game McLeish still makes mistakes.

He'll need to take Roy Aitken with him coz Andy Watson wont be able to cut Premiership football.

Next Scotland boss?? Only Gary McAllister is appealing out of the mentioned names. I dont want Davies, Burley, Levein, Souness, Jordon or Dalglish.

Id rather have:

McAllister

Venables

George Graham

Strachan
