If the likes of Lille and Forrest are interested we have no chance.

Never underestimate the plucky Belgians.

With Lammers offski (oh, please Lord, let it happen), there will be a space in the Euro squad for him.

Whether this would be a good signing or not is open to debate, but a front three of Batshuayi, Silva, and Sima looks.....interesting.

All on loan, of course, but looking to attract interest from big, big payers.

And, don't forget, exposure before the Euros, for Batshuayi, and Silva, could figure in the calculations.

We'll see.

RE: Batshuayi; I'd rather avoid loan deals and opt for permanent signings we can develop and sell on. However, that can be difficult in January so the odd short term deal can be useful. Batshuayi's scoring record is good but, as always, is he motivated to actually contribute?

His wages are supposedly ~£3m per year and any loan may be subject to a fee so that could be a decent outlay for just four months of football. Every transfer comes with risk and no guarantees so would a permanent transfer represent better value? These are big decisions!

That's quite depressing.

It is indeed 😈 considering what Rangers offers in football terms with European football  plus the prospect of every season more or less we will win a cup, it Goes to show what the board are after and that is in my opinion to maximise their profits.

Yes like Frankie has said it will be best to get a player in on loan especially in such short time? also will we have clause like before with Tillman ? and miss out on another opportunity to sign a player who is flourishing in the SPL and solving our problems in positions we are lacking firepower from.

Also if I’m being honest what is the recruitment team doing to not push the European football  to other team players who are fringe players at there club, players of talent could flourish at Rangers like Jack Todd Dijon are doing now but get them on a contract.

Aye, just go pay the extra for Shankland or AN Other tbh.

When was the last time we brought in a big name on loan who was trying to get gametime.. :ninja:

99% of Loaned players may not be fully committed to our club, and they may not be able to adapt to the team’s style of play as quickly as a player who has been bought. Furthermore, loaning players can be expensive like we have known in the past , as the club will  have to pay a portion of the player’s wages while they are on loan which in itself is a horrendous amount and is only the players they are wanting to cut there expenses to be honest. while loaning players can be a useful tool in certain situations like ours in search for a striker ,  I think buying players is generally a better option for us if we are wanting to build a strong and stable team capable of reaching new heights, instead of loaning players that are generally considered as gone past there peak. I honestly thought Djion was good but not what he has become over time top top quality we have in our ranks, all he wanted to do was play football and left Chelsea to join Rangers so let’s have more of that please instead of wasting time and money on old washed up players.

We need to bring in players to help us win the league.  Loans are inevitable, particularly in January but we hear the same groans every year.

I think some folk are still stuck in the 90s.
